إن موضوع الدمى الطينية ليس بموضوع جديد ولکن أن تکون هذه الدمى مکتشفة حديثًا في موقع أثري ضمن منطقة معروفة بآثارها، واستمر السکن فيها خلال حقبات زمنية عديدة هو الجديد. فموقع دکرمان 55 الواقع في مدينة صيدا جنوب لبنان، على الساحل الشرقي للبحر الأبيض المتوسط، يُعدّ الموقع الثالث الهام على صعيد آثار منطقة الدکرمان، بعد حفرية روجيه صيدح التي تم کشفها عام 1966[1] وحفرية کلود ضومط سرحالالتي بدأ التنقيب عنها بالتعاون مع بعثة المتحف البريطاني سنة 1998[2]. عثر أثناء القيام بعملية التنقيب الأثري في موقع دکرمان 55 على العديد من الدمى الطينية التي تعود لعصر البرونز 1400-1300 ق.م. وصولًا إلى القرن الثاني ق.م. وقد توزعت هذه الدمى کالآتي: 47.38% إناث، 45.36% ذکور، 9.7% دمى حيوانية کانت تستخدم من قبل الأطفال لأهداف ترفيهية، 2.2% ألهة، 21.17% دمى غير معروفة. من خلال دراستنا المفصّلة للدمى الطينية في موقع دکرمان 55 تبين وجود ثلاث تقنيات مستخدمة في صناعة الدمى: تقنية النمذجة[3] (Surmoulage)، تقنية الصب في قوالب، والصناعة اليدوية
[1] This thesis is not about figurines as a topic since it is not a new one to deal with, but rather covers the collection of figurines newly discovered in Saida Dakerman 55 site, an archeological site known for its monuments and antiques which have never ceased to accommodate inhabitants in different periods. Dakerman 55 site, located in the Southern Lebanese city of Saida, on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean, is the third important site in terms of ruins of the Dakerman area. Precedes her Roger Saidah’s excavation, discovered in 1966, and Claude Doumet Serhal’s excavation which was excavated in cooperation with the British Museum mission in 1998. During the excavations, were sorted on the site of Dakerman 55 several figurines from the Bronze Age 1300-1400 BC until the second century BC. These figurines were distributed as follows: 47.38% females, 45.36% males, 9.7% animal figurines used by children for recreational purposes, 2.2% gods, and 21.17% unknown. Through our detailed study on figurines at the Dakerman 55 site, we have noticedthat three techniques were used in the figurine industry: Modeling technology, mould casting technology, and handicrafts.
