الملخص:
في بداية الحديث لابد أن يتم التنويه بأن هذا البحث يتعلق بموضوع رسالة علمية( دكتوراه) قمت بإعدادها في عام 2023[1].
يستهدف هذا البحث دراسة الأواني الزجاجية المجسدة في العصر الإمبراطوري الروماني (27 ق.م – 305م)؛ وذلك من خلال التعرف على الأشكال والمشاهد الفنية التي ظهرت على تلك الأواني خلال حكم الأباطرة الرومان، بدءًا من عهد أغسطس وحتى عهد دقليديانوس، تكمن أهمية هذا الموضوع في رصد وتحليل الرموز والموضوعات التي زخرت بها هذه الأواني الزجاجية، إذ تحولت إلى سجلات حية توثق معتقدات وفنون تلك الفترة، فقد استخدم الفنان الروماني الأواني الزجاجية كوسيلة للتعبير عن الرموز والموضوعات التي كانت جزءًا من الحياة اليومية والفكرية في المجتمع الروماني. استمرت هذه الرموز والموضوعات في الظهور والتكرار، حتى أصبحت جزءًا من الهوية الفنية لتلك الحقبة، يوضح البحث كيف استطاع الفنان توظيف تلك الرموز لإبراز روح العصر ومعتقداته، مبينًا مدى استمرار صناعة الأواني الزجاجية من الماضي حتى يومنا هذا، وأهمية هذه الصناعة كعنصر تراثي وثقافي يعكس تواصل الإنسان مع الفنون والرموز عبر العصور.
The Embodied Glass Vessels During the Roman Imperial Period
 
Abstract:
At the outset, it is important to note that this research pertains to the subject of a doctoral dissertation I completed in 2023. This research aims to study the various forms of glass vessels represented in the Roman Imperial period (27 BC – 305 AD). It seeks to identify and analyze the artistic forms and scenes depicted on these vessels during the reigns of the Roman emperors, from Augustus to Diocletian. The importance of this topic lies in recording and examining the symbols and themes found on these glass vessels, which have become vivid records that document the beliefs and artistic expressions of that era. Roman artists used these glass vessels as a medium to convey the symbols and themes that were part of the daily and intellectual life of Roman society. These symbols and themes continued to appear and be repeated until they became an essential part of the artistic identity of that period. The research highlights how artists employed these symbols to reflect the spirit and beliefs of the era, while also showing how the production of glass vessels has persisted from the past to the present day. This enduring craft underscores its role as a cultural and heritage element that embodies humanity’s ongoing relationship with art and symbolism throughout history.
