الطوطمية بين السحر والدين فى عصور ما قبل التاريخ بأفريقيا Totemism between magic and religion in prehistoric Africa

تعد إفريقيا بمثابة متحف حى مفتوح الأرجاء ، نرى فيه حياة انسان عصور ما قبل التاريخ، بعدما کنا نعتمد فقط على الاستقراء .. فلازالت هناک العديد من القبائل الأفريقية تعيش حياة الإنسان البدائى بکل بساطتها ومعتقداتها وبکل مفرداتها التى کنا قبل ذلک نعتبرها من الأمور المعقدة التى يصعب تفسيرها ، الا أن تلک القبائل أعادت الينا الماضى البعيد ، فأصبحنا نرى ماضينا ونحيا حاضرنا لنحمد الله على ما أنعم به علينا من نعم کثيرة .
يرجع تاريخ الإنسان الأول فى أفريقيا الى ما يزيد عن الثلاثة ملايين سنة ، وتعتبر أقدم السجلات المکتوبة عن إفريقيا هي التي خلفها المصريون القدماء منذ خمسة ألف سنة مضت، وما سجلوه الکوشيين (السودانيين القدماء) فى شمال القارة الأفريقية [1] .
 أما الأجزاء الجنوبية من القارة الإفريقية لا توجد سجلات مکتوبة عنها، إلا تلک التي لا يتجاوز عمرها قرن أو قرنين من الزمان[2]، لذلک أطول فترات الإنسان في إفريقيا أطلق عليها الدارسون فترات ما قبل التاريخ أي الفترات التي سبقت ظهور الکتابة ولکن هناک عدة أسباب تجعل أن هذا المصطلح (ما قبل التاريخ) لا يلائم إفريقيا بصورة کلية منها:-
1- کانت فترات طويلة في الجزء الشمالي من القارة فيها سجلات مکتوبة لکنها لم تکن تقدم معلومات کافية عن الکثير من جوانب الحياة المعاصرة.
2- الکثير من السجلات المتوفرة قد تم وضعها من قبل أجانب وهي کثيراً ما تعطي سرداً غير مکتمل لأحداث لم يدرکها المؤرخون بصورة صحيحة.
الطوطمية فى أفريقيا
کانت الطوطمية أحد أهم الديانات الأفريقية التى عرفت منذ عصور ما قبل التاريخ ، وظلت متوارثة مع اختلاف مظاهرها فى العديد من القبائل البدائية التى تعيش فى أجزاء عدة من قارة أفريقيا
تعريف الطوطمية :-
الطوطمية ديانة مرکبة من الأفکار والرموز والطقوس تعتمد على العلاقة بين جماعة إنسانية ورمز معين يسمى "الطوطم"[3] ، والطوطم يمکن أن يکون طائر أو حيوان أو نبات أو ظاهرة طبيعية أو مظهر طبيعي مع اعتقاد الجماعة بالارتباط به روحيا[4].  کأن تتخذ القبيلة مثلا من "الکلب" رمز طوطمى لها، ويبين (شکل : 1) رمز طوطمى لکلب برى کانت تتخذه أحد القبائل الأفريقية " طوطم " لها [5].
 أخذت کلمة "طوطم" عن الأوجيبوا، وهي لغة الغونکية يتحدث بها هنود البحيرات الکبرى في أمريکا الشمالية، وقد أدخلها إلى الغرب ج. لونغ عام 1791، لکن استخدامها الأنثروبولوجي يعود إلى ف . ج. ماک لينان (1869 – 1870) ، يستخدم الأوجيبوا کلمة "طوطم" بمعنى علاقة محض اجتماعية (قرابة أو صداقة) قائمة بين شخصين . هناک بعض جماعات من الأوجيبوا تنتظم في عشائر أبوية النسب وخارجية الزواج، وتتخذ کل عشيرة لقباً مستمداً من إحدى فصائل الحيوان[6].
